The diagnosis

Polizzi says she had years of abnormal Pap results and was advised to return for checks every six months, but she delayed because the exams were uncomfortable. In 2025 her doctor insisted she come in; subsequent testing, including a colposcopy and cone biopsy, found severe cells. Further scans confirmed the cancer has not spread and doctors have recommended a hysterectomy with no additional treatment expected.
