Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, 90, attended the Order of St. Michael and St. George service on May 7 as Grand Master, arriving before King Charles. Dressed in official robes, the duke used a wheelchair at times but was also seen walking unaided behind the monarch earlier in the procession.
The service at St. Paul’s is held every four years, so this was King Charles’ first participation as sovereign. He processed through the cathedral with His Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, a choir and Dame Susan Langley, the Lord Mayor of the City of London.
