A showgirl says her brand was copied

On March 30 Maren Wade (real name Maren Flagg) filed a complaint alleging Swift's album title "The Life of a Showgirl" infringes her 2015 trademark "Confessions of a Showgirl." Wade says she has used that name for cabaret shows, a podcast and a newspaper column and asked a judge for a preliminary injunction to stop Swift's use, arguing ongoing album sales harm her business.
