As of now, it is unclear if any German nationals are among the victims. Rescue operations continued into the late evening hours in search of the missing individual, but unfortunately, these efforts proved unsuccessful. The operations included a lifeboat, a helicopter, and personnel from emergency services and the police.
Authorities had previously issued warnings about high waves, underscoring the dangers of the natural pools, which are often regarded as a hidden gem by holidaymakers. Under treacherous conditions, these pools can quickly become deadly traps, with massive waves capable of dragging individuals out to sea, and strong currents making it challenging to return safely. This incident echoes similar events that occurred on November 8, when high waves also swept many into the ocean, resulting in multiple casualties.
