A lawsuit now alleges the White House will host a UFC card on public grounds — and plaintiffs say this isn’t a patriotic celebration but a commercial promotion. Read on to discover the full story!
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, plaintiffs Susan Douglas and Paul Romano filed a federal lawsuit on June 8, 2026 against the National Park Service, the Department of the Interior and multiple officials. The filing seeks to halt UFC Freedom 250, slated for June 14 on the White House South Lawn, with ceremonial weigh-ins planned at the Lincoln Memorial.
Douglas and Romano argue the event was improperly authorized under rules meant for America’s 250th anniversary celebrations. They claim the promotion is a commercial venture run by private entities rather than a government-sponsored commemoration, making use of public property unlawful.
