Mary Peltola emerged as the top vote-getter in Alaska’s open Senate primary and now heads into a high-stakes November rematch — but a recent outreach from Kamala Harris has put her campaign in an awkward spot. Read on to discover the full story!
On Aug. 18, Peltola led the field with 48% of the vote and will face incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan, who finished second with 42.8%, in the November general election.

Peltola’s camp emphasized she isn’t pursuing endorsements from the Lower 48 and highlighted backing from unions including AFGE, the Alaska AFL-CIO and IBEW Local 1547, plus over 10,000 local volunteers.
