Boebert was arrested, held in Garfield County Jail and released the same day on a $10,000 surety bond. He faces five felonies, including counts related to sexual exploitation and possession with intent; each charge carries a possible two- to six-year sentence and some convictions would require sex-offender registration. He has not yet entered a plea.
Tyler also faces unrelated legal matters, including a sentencing tied to a 2024 criminal case and a prior plea in a child-neglect case after an infant was found unattended in July 2025. Prosecutors have sought jail time, supervised probation and parenting programs. Rep. Lauren Boebert has publicly defended her son, saying the family cooperated with Child Protective Services and has addressed earlier incidents privately.
