From Canada to Montecito and beyond

In late 2019 they stayed briefly on Vancouver Island, then used Tyler Perry’s Los Angeles home during their U.S. transition in 2020. The family settled in a nine-bedroom Montecito house purchased after they stepped back from royal duties, a private haven with gardens, a guesthouse and a chicken coop nicknamed for their son.

Portugal glimpses and what’s next

The Sussexes have also spent holiday time in Portugal, sharing rare family photos in July 2026. Though they will return to the U.K. in 2026, they will retain their California home while longer-term plans remain undecided.
