Television favorite Jason Dohring has quietly stepped away from screens to embrace a new life as a grower in Florida, and his explanation is unexpectedly heartfelt. Read on to discover the full story!
Dohring, 44, says gardening began for him during the COVID era about three-and-a-half to four years ago. He lost track of the pandemic while tending his backyard, and that curiosity grew. Three years later he found himself on his third farm, focused on making nutritious food for people and noting that farmers can even change how crops taste.
The actor told his agents he was "gonna go farm for a minute" and, while they kept sending roles, he chose a simpler Florida life to support his family and health. He does plan to likely return to acting at some point and recently made a short film.
